Dominio del Pidio Tinto is a wood-aged red wine made with the Tinto Fino and Albillo varieties by Cillar de Silos in the Ribera del Duero DO in Castilla y León, Spain.

Created by Cillar de Silos, the Dominio del Pidio project was established by the Aragón brothers in the former 16th century wine-growing area of Quintana del Pidio. Their goal was to revive a centuries-old legacy with three wines made from small plots with old vines and fermentation in cement and wood.

Dominio del Pidio Tinto comes from old vineyards located in Quintana del Pidio. These are old vines planted in clayey-sandy soils, at an average altitude of 890 meters above sea level. They are grown using organic agriculture with biodynamic treatments and the yield is limited.

In the winery, Dominio del Pidio Tinto grapes ferment spontaneously with native yeasts in cement tanks. The wine is then aged for 15 months in 228 and 500 liter French oak barrels.

The Dominio del Pidio Tinto wine was born in a town with an amazing wine-growing history that reflects the essence of the Ribera del Duero.
